戯音鏡 ~ Gionkyo

戯音鏡 v1.3は、Playback機能とiPadサポートをします。

Playback

1. Recording(これまでと同じ, the same as before)

2. Playback(最大２０秒, up to 20 secs)

左下の再生マークと一時停止マークに注目してください。再生を押すとプレイバックが開始し、過去２０秒間録音された演奏をループして再生します。この時、戯音鏡も再生されている音声を解析しますので、音と解析結果の両方を確認することができます。上の再生イメージは録音時とほぼ同じタイミングで撮りました。

iPhoneユーザーのみなさんへ：瞬時の録音再生を優先しているため、再生音が通話時の耳の位置から聞こえます。耳にあてると画面が見えなくて不都合な場合は、iPod Touchのようにイアフォンの使用をおすすめします。

Note the new marks, play and pause, on the lower left. Music recorded for the last 20 seconds is played when the play mark is pressed. And paused, which means another recording gets started, by pressing the pause mark. Analysis is made also on playback, so you can see it as well as listening. The playback image above was captured around the same moment as recording.

For iPhone users: It may be inconvenient that you can't see display when you listen to playback sound because you need to get your ear close to iPhone as you call. In this case, I recommend to use ear phone as with iPod Touch.

Now that Precise Pitch Indicator is installed in version 1.2, you can benefit from it in two ways.

The indicator is shown on a pitch of fundamental frequency at a time, as an orange circle. It moves up and down, which ranges from +50 cents down to - 50 cents.

1, Get to know your play and your instrument

Do some scale practice, and you'll find your and your instrument's tendencies.

Some are unique to you, but others are to your instrument. This will question a lot because you'll find you can't hit where you imagine.

For example, a trumpet model called Old Martin Committee, that is famous as Mile Davis', has a tendency to get higher at G(F in C). Or Miles' playing does. And then, your image from his playing does, too.

How to get along with you and your instrument?

2, Analyze your favorite play to get an image

You can learn from your favorite play, then improve your image.

- Trumpet

- Cello(the key is unknown)

- Saxophone

Also, you can set Concert Pitch.

- Violin(the key is D maj)

Today, I have installed precise pitch indicator for test. It is the orange point moving up and down. The range is -50 cents(down) to 50 cents(up).

This is quite effective to notice subtle differences from day to day, like when playing scales.

Also, now it is so precise, I added concert A setting from 424 to 455.

When it comes to music, an image plays an important role as pictured below.

But in reality, for example in my case, it is far from it.

Thus, Read is Read(like just telling it is Do), Perform is Perform(like just remembering the pattern to move fingers for Do). They do not work together seamlessly, through an Image.

How can I improve? That's how 戯音鏡 came in.
